25 years of.....

bliss.........
This card was made for a friend of mine who has now been married for 25 years.
Using little Doodlebug rub-ons is a great way to personalise your cards. It also just adds that little bit something extra.

Hopefully Fiona and John like the card.
Congratulations you two! Here's to the next 25 years!

I just wanted to say a massive 'Hello!' to all the wonderful people who sat with me yesterday and in fact at all of my demos this year so far.

Life is like a .....

butterfly......
These lovely felt butterflies can be found at Do Crafts stockists up and down the country.
The are so delicate looking but so strong to work with.
I have been looking for places to put them around the house! lol - so far, a blind, lampshade, unit and hat have them added to them.
As well as all my paper projects too!

I really love the summery colours....... very pretty.
Well the sun is shining here again. Long may it continue......

The question is..... 'what to make today?'.......... what are all of you up to in blog land?

The mega pack

One of the goodies that I have been lucky to work with over this loop has been the ultimate decoupage and paper pack.
Soooo many goodies in it! There are 54 pages of decoupage, backgrounds and papers - and all in the lovely Hawthorn and Bramble collection.

These two little chaps have been so popular at the demos, and who can blame people for falling in love with them.
As soon as they hit the shelves they are flying right back off them again!

Grab them while you can!!!

Sweet like . . . . .

chocolate!

This was my idea for a little gift to give to someone, say a teacher at the end of term or a friend who needs cheered up.
I took a chocolate bar and removed the original wrapper.
Then I covered it with some of the new Henbury Lane paper from Do Crafts. (It really is stunning paper).
To finish off I made up on the the decoupage sheets and popped it on top.

Simple and quick to do, but special enough to let the person receiving it know that you made the effort just for them.

Hope the sun is shining wherever you are.

Meet Bramble and Hawthorn

I really love these two little chaps, well let's be honest, who wouldn't.
For this card, I just used a standard C6 card blank that I folded to create the step effect.
Then I stamped out the image and coloured in with water pencils.
To give height to the trees, I used the new grape leaf punch (these punches are fab!! they emboss and deboss as well as punch).

He really is ouber cute!

Catch ya later,

Purple flower

I am just lorrrvin the Henbury Lane collection from Do Crafts at the moment.
All my fav shades of purple (there really just can't be enough purple in the world as far as I am concerned!).
My other love at the mo is the nesting shapes and my big shot!

I really am a very lucky girl getting to play with such wonderful stuff.

Last weekend was just mad for me - the weather was sooooooooooooo hot and both of my demos where in garden centres, so I melted away!!! lol
I did get to meet some really nice crafters and as usual had a ball.
Thank you to everyone who came and kept me company.

More cards will follow later this week - hopefully if I have done the schedule thing properly then you will get to see a different project every day.
Happy craftin'

I've been making lots of samples for up-coming demos, so I promise I will have some things to show you very soon.
I seem to have misplaced my lead for my camera - oopsie!
As soon as I find it, I'll pop some piccies on.
I might even try and get myself organised and schedule some posts for next week too......

What ever you are doing today, have fun!

My window

I often sit and stare out of the window when I am designing. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful view.
Here are a few pictures I have taken of my window.......
I love looking up onto the hills, even when it's raining it really is just beautiful to watch.
The butterflies and flowers are made from a jelly like stuff that just sticks to your window.
When you have had enough of it you just peel them off and store them until you want to use them again.

I love to sit and watch the trees dancing in the wind and the rain running down the window......
I must take some pictures to show you the inside of the room where I work......... where do you craft away? I'd love to see the pictures......... If I show you mine......... it's only fare that you show me yours! lol

The last of this weeks children's crafts

This was just sooooo much fun to make. The whole thing is made from funky foam - with a little fuzzy stuff to decorate. I have even lined the inside with feathers......
These little chaps are a selection of finger puppets that I made. Finger puppets are great fun to make. Anything goes!

Decorating glass candle holders with stickers is a good way to get children started at making presents for people. They have to think up the ideas of how to create the picture or what stickers to use, so they are gifts that are easy to make for everyone.
Every little girls wants to have some bracelets like Mummy, so why not let her start out by making her own.
Pipecleaners and beads (all from the Craft Planet goody bag) are so easy to use for this.
And it's so cost effective that you don't mind what they use from the bag.......
If Mum is a crafter then the Craft Planet bags are the way to go! Your children will have something to keep them busy for hours - leaving you time to play with your own stash!
It also might make your stash that little bit safer! lol

Flower Power

A little flower to brighten up the day.
These are great to make with younger children and then fill a vase with them. A fabby little gift just to show that special lady that they care......

I have the flower lying down here, but they are very strong so really do look pretty in a little vase.

Here are some close ups of the flower head.

A friendly little card that can be made by anyone and used for anything.....
This card is made using the Craft Planet activity pack, a blank white card, black paper and some pink coredinations cardstock.

2. Fix this into position on the card.
3. Draw a frame around the whole of the card.
4. Add the foam circles, making sure that you go over the edges of the pink card.
5. Doodle details onto each of the cirlce.

Fun with the children

Sometimes, as a Designer we are challenged to do things out of our comfort zone.
And, often, when we do work outwith our normal comfort zone, we actually find out that we like it! lol

Just recently I have had to design some projects with Craft Planet items - these are designed with children in mind (but that is children of ALL ages!).

Here are some of the things I came up with......

I always enjoy working with children when they are creating. They have none of the fear that sometimes we have as adults.
Over the next few days I will show you some more of the projects I made.
